Some of her training has been with Carrie Salisbury, Nonie Reesor and with the String Academy in Utah State University. She has been privileged to attend master classes with Judy Bossuat, Mimi Zweig and received honored awards in Logan’s ASTA Festival. Alexis currently studies with Diane Austin, Russell Fallstad (former Fry Street Quartet member) and has master classes with William Fedkenheuer of the Fry Street Quartet. She loves performing ensemble music with her two younger sisters, MaKayla who plays the viola and Jessica, who plays the cello.

Some of Alexis’ hobbies include reading, cooking, sewing, creating, art, history and science. She studies at home with her mother. Some of the highlights of her last year were her trip to Cambodia and Thailand with her grandparents. It was there she experienced culture and came to appreciate the differences between countries. She was able to serve at an orphanage and witness poverty in the Floating City where their homes are shacks. She also rode an elephant and went to see the Long-necked Karrens. Alexis observed the silk factory, umbrella factory and pottery factory. She came back forever changed, and grateful for what she has. Alexis also enjoyed her volunteer time in the American West Heritage Center with her family.

Alexis is a kindhearted, lively girl who is quick to help and be a friend. She is 12 years old and lives in Wellsville, Utah with her two sisters, three brothers, and parents.
